I am not sure how you feel about this issue, but I think that if you wish to go on a distance dating, then you must be mentally prepared. There are certain things that you need to take note.

It is very possible that your partner may stray when you're not around. This is human nature and if you wish to try distance dating, then you must have absolute trust and faith in your partner. If this is not the case, you guys will not end up together in the end. I believe that in any relationships, there has to be trust. If you're not prepared for this kind of commitment, then it is better that you give it up.

If you do not make it a point to communicate often, and it is very likely that the love will slowly fade. This is especially so if you guys are not meeting for a long time, such as a year. You may even question yourself why are you in this relationship in the first place? I'm sure you will get the answer.

I read this article about an UK woman who literally poured her heart out in YouTube videos after breaking up with her boyfriend. She was very devastated when her boyfriend walked out on her. She decided to record how pain in videos and then upload them onto YouTube.

Apparently, her ex-boyfriend was informed of the videos, who would then back her to take him back after he watched the videos. She talked about how she found it difficult to eat or sleep after the breakup. There were a total of 62 videos, and it seems like it was a win-win situation for her.
